Hello SCAD Art History students! This is Terry Johnson here
to give you some art history knowledge and know-how for your viewing and
reading pleasure. So as you all know are history is important to a lot of the
art that we do today. For Instance Sarah Wynter plays Alma Mahler, a woman in
turn of the century Vienna who was romantically linked with some of the most
famous artists and musicians of her day. She was married to the composer Gustav
Mahler (Jonathan Pryce) and later had an affair with the troubled painter Oskar
Kokoschka (Vincent Perez), whose painting The Bride of the Wind is the source
for the film's title.
