This article discusses the world's largest stone Buddha statue which is located in China. The Leshan Giant Buddha was carved out of a cliff around 618-907 AD. This article goes on to discuss how this structure has been weathered down over the years, thus making the carving almost indistinguishable from the mountain from which it was carved.
