Head from the figure of a woman(Shanqiao Liang)

This is called "Head from the figure of a woman", ca. 2700–2500 b.c.; Early Cycladic I–II. Cycladic; Keros-Syros culture, and we can see there is no show the woman's face, and I think it is very interesting because ancient people already used their imagination to made the abstract. In term of the reason why the no with her face, I am guessing the people wanted to show what is the perfect shape of women's face.(Shanqiao Liang)

  1. unusual...wouldnt this bee considered an impractical use of early art? AN abstract suggestive stone of a womans face. there has to be more information.
